All-State was great!
I cried.
I met some amazing people.
We played laser tag.
We had ...interesting... conversations.
Our director was Henry Leck.
A publisher of a Hal Leonard music series.
Who just early in the week was conducting in Carnegie Hall.
And is the director of the Indianapolis Children's Choir.
A choir that apparently sings in the Vatican for the Pope.
And that sings the National Anthem with Kelly Clarkson at the Super Bowl.
...And of course he mentions all of this to us nonchalantly.
As if it doesn't matter.

IT WAS SUCH A GREAT EXPERIENCE.
...Aside from the awful 11-hour-up, 14-hour-back bus ride.
We sang like angels.I cried.

This was better than All-State freshman year.
But I still do miss the people I hung with and fun times I had back then.
