Oh, Mike
So, yeeaahhhhh
There's this boy.
And you now know his name.
Poop.
That was clever of me.
But whatever.
We've become friends.
And I kinda wish we were more.
But he's totally out of my league.
So I doubt that will happen.
~~~
Once some friends and I had fun confusing him via text while at Jamba Juice, and when he called us to find out what was going on, we only confused him more.
Almost every single day he texts/calls me for the Calculus assignment. And if it's not Calculus, it's Physics. Or English. Which makes me happy. Because he has friends that he has known longer than me in those classes, yet he asks me. :)
Then he tried to convince me he didn't celebrate Christmas cuz he is a Jew... and succeeded. I honestly believed he was Jewish for about 5 minutes before he started laughing and told me he wasn't.
And all the time he randomly touches my hair. Like a hair-touch. I don't know what it means... or if it even means anything.
On Thanksgiving my family went and saw Wreck-It Ralph. (Which, by the way, was super duper good.) As soon as I heard we were going to the movies I started thinking "Ah! We're going out in public! What if he is there?!" But of course, what are the chances that: one, he is even going to go see a movie on Thanksgiving; two, he is going to go to the lame old movie theater that we were going to; and three, he would go to a movie at the same time as us. But lo and behold, guess who I ended up seeing at the movies. Yup. Him. It made me happy. :) But my family wouldn't shut up about it. :P
My older sister cat-facted him. And he sent a cat fact back to her! It was so funny! And the he politely asked her to "please stop" cat-facting him. That was definitely attractive. :)
The other day in Jive I was almost his dance partner... but I'm with Carson. Curses! But oh well, I'm near him, and we joke around all the time about who are the better dancers, me and Carson or him and Alicia. Carson and I usually lose. :P
~~~
I think I'm falling for him too hard.
This won't end well.

Theme for English AP
For AP English we were assigned to write a poem.
A poem about ourselves based on the style and form of this poem.
And this is my result.
~~~
As I sit here and type my paper,
I realize
that I probably should have done it sooner
Because it
is Sunday night, and this is due second period tomorrow.
But I tend
to procrastinate doing things.
This year
that will change;
I will procrastinate no more—
Starting next time.
Anyway, is it really procrastinating if I planned to wait until now to do it?
I am seventeen, born in Hershey, Pennsylvania.
I am the third oldest of nine children, and each child is
extraordinarily unique…
Except for me, it seems.
Most of the time I feel like nothing but a shadow,
A shadow of my two older siblings combined.
Everything I achieve, one of them has already done.
And no matter how hard I try, I can not be better than them.
So it is like I’m constantly stuck in their shadows.
Attempting to find a part of me that is unique to me.
It is not easy to find yourself when you feel as if you live
inside a box—
A box with one window that points towards those who came
before you,
So what they are is all you know, all you can know, all you can be.
But eventually you find that the walls of the box are weak,
They can be broken down.
You can be free—
Free to live as you.
Well, I like to blog, swim, sing, and make people laugh.
I like to play the piano and the cello and play water polo.
I like to be included and noticed, and to watch British
television.
And I might as well add that I do like to eat and sleep a
lot, too.
I also like to think that the comma I placed before “too”
was necessary,
Though I am not quite sure whether or not it was.
It always perturbs me when a paper fills up an entire page
and barely reaches the next,
One or two lines on a page always just feels so blank.
So I am going to end up writing more than I originally
planned.
I have more to say, and in with it I shall add many rambling
words to add length.
Hmm… many rambling words.
It makes me think of many mumbling mice.
“BIG M. little m.
Many mumbling mice are making midnight music in the
moonlight… mighty nice.”
Oh Dr. Seuss. You are
a part of me.
You are white—and American.
And I learn from you,
Although you are older- and dead-
So you obviously can’t learn from me.
And here I am rambling, like I said I would be.
As I come to conclude this theme for English AP,
I feel somewhat like a Jedi.
But I guess some explanation of that last statement is needed…
As I have been sitting here typing this,
I have been listening to the “Epic Film Scores” playlist on
Songza—
A playlist that makes my life feel so much more, well,
Jedi-ish.
And here, my theme for English AP comes to an abrupt end.
~~~
I tried to find a good balance of serious and funny.
I am so glad my teacher has a sense of humor.

Banana Bread
Mikey said he wanted banana bread nonchalantly in conversation.
Ten minutes later Hannah offers him this.
Mikey declined.
Hannah took a bite.
Then the bread sat untouched.
But hey, it's the thought that counts!
A 4 year old making her older brother some banana bread is pretty cute...
...and funny. :)
And Mikey made real banana bread the next day.
Yum. :)

A song that WAS my favorite.
Don't you just love the moment when your favorite song that was known to only you begins to be played on the radio, and then becomes overplayed, and then everyone knows it an sings it repeatedly?
Yeah. I hate it.
And that's what happened to me with "What Makes You Beautiful." I still like the song... just not nearly as much. But I really enjoy "Your Maths Skills are Terrible."
I also like this parody a lot. It's kinda inappropriate...
But I like it anyway because it's so accurate and hilarious! :D

Why are people so LITERAL?
Hot Problems.
Have you seen it?
It's frickin' hilarious.
But some people are super stupid.
And think that the girls are just ugly, untalented, full-of-themselves capital b-words.
But they're so not!
Gosh people...
Don't take everything so literally!
It's meant to be funny.
Wow.
Idiots.

In case you haven't been graced with Double Take's presence...
Here is the video. :)
Fave line:
"They see my blonde hair, blue eyes, and class. But they don't know I have a really big... heart."

Recent Adventures
For mutual I etched this mirror AND made this rose out of clay. (I painted it with fingernail polish.) :D
~~~
The Panda Express opened. Yum, yum, yum!
~~~
I made these from Pinterest.
Chocolate peanut butter bars.
Yumm. Yumm.
~~~
I think Joe is confused. These are OBVIOUSLY briefs.
~~~
So my friend Russell went to Forks, Washington (where he moved from) about a year ago, and he brought people back souvenirs. He brought my sister a jar of dirt. She kept it on a bookshelf near a window, and she noticed that there is now stuff growing in it! CRAZY!
