A New Start?

I used to be so social.  But now I've find myself as more of an introvert.  Unless the other person puts themselves out there first.  I guess I'm afraid of coming off as weird or annoying.  It's just self-consciousness, I guess.  At times it gets lonely, and I feel like a loser.  But other times it's really calming and relaxing.

I'm not the kind of person with a best friend.  I more so just have many good-ish friends.  But this presents a problem, because then I can never really hang out with anyone, because I don't particularly know anyone well enough to just be like "Hey, let's hang out!"  And this, I don't like.  There are actually quite a few friends of mine who are potential hang-out-with-me-ers, but I am afraid that if I invite them to hang out they will decline because they think I'm obnoxious.

I wish I was one of those girls who had a best friend.  You know... the best friends who are inseparable.  Who are with each other every second of every day.

Tonight my younger sister is camping with a girl who used to be one of my better friends.  I hate it when my little sister steals my friends.  She tends to do it a lot.  And I hate it.  So much.  But anywho, my mom suggested that I hang out with some of my friends, too.  So I texted three of my better friends.  Two of them never even replied, and the other already had plans.  I came to realize that, recently, I haven't hung out with friends much at all.  I mostly just sit alone in my room.  (Like I am doing so now.)  Last summer I went to a party like every other week... what happened?

People don't even invite me to things anymore.  I always see pictures of my good friends on Facebook hanging out with other good friends of mine and I'm like "Gee, thanks for inviting me."  The few times I have been hanging out with friends they always get phone calls and texts from people wanting to hang out;  I never get those.  Just kidding, that's a lie.  I received ONE of those calls this summer.  It was yesterday.  My friend Tori invited me to the fair.  But I couldn't go.  I don't have any money.  But I'm not that big a fan of the fair anyway, so whatever.

But this year I'm hoping to be more social again.
I'm going to be going to a new school.
It's kinda like a new start.
But not entirely.
Because I will still know quite a few people.

I just hope I make more friends.
Best friends.

August Is Over

August is Over, We the Kings.

August IS over... it's crazy.
Summer flew by so fast!
School starts on Tuesday.
My last first day of high school.
And I'll be at a new school.
Well, half new.
It's kind of nerve-wracking.

And I still have my summer reading to do.
Whoops!
Better finish that up.

I have this friend...

And this friend is amazing.  But, I can not tell you who this friend is, for legal reasons.  Because, said friend totally auditioned for American Idol when I didn't.  And this friend made it past the first auditions!  HOLY HECK!!!! I am so excited for my friend!  But I can not give away any information concerning who this friend may be, because the friend could get disqualified and sued. :(  But when the new season of American Idol begins to air, and my friend's results are shown, then I will reveal all. :D

I am so sorry!

I apologize for my entire lack of posting for such a long time.
This has been the busiest summer I have ever had.
And then having the laptop taken away whenever I am home doesn't help much at all.

But I have it back now.  Nice and safe.  At home.
But school starts soon.
So I have last minute summer reading to do.
And ACT studying.
And school-preparing.

So why the flip am I sitting here blogging?

I have things to do.
I'll blog later... I promise!

Lightning Storms

Stranded.

So, coming back from vacation last night, our car broke down.  Right outside Brigham City.  Thankfully, we were able to coast off of the freeway along an exit near town.  We called a tow truck and everything worked out.  But we had to wait for Rachel and my uncle to meet us in Brigham City, because my uncle would drive some of us (me included) back up to Twin, and Rachel would drive the rest back down to my grandma's house.  (Downside to such a big family... very few cars can fit all of you.)

While we were waiting for our saviors, we walked across the street from the mechanics to Dominoes.  Now, since Dominoes generally isn't a "sit down in the store to eat your pizza" type of place, the manager working asked us what was up.  (7 children crowded in a Dominoes isn't a common occurance.)  My mom told him about how we broke down, so he gave us an extra free pizza, a free liter of Sprite, and some free cinnamon sticks!  it was pretty great!

And although the entire 6 hour delay was frustrating and tiring, it was actually kinda fun.  You know, to be able to say your car has broken down on the freeway.  It was exciting. :)

Anna!

Tonight after Legoland we went to Denny's.
And my fantastic friend Anna from EFY drove 40 flippin minutes just to see me!
We talked about school while getting stuffed on too-big-meals.
It was so great. :)

The Happiest Place on Earth

Disneyland with the fam. :)
And (not as fun or important) Legoland.  But the SeaLife aquarium was pretty cool.

Becca hugging a lego wookie.
Silly Becca, sharks don't have claws!
Random super cool picture of fish.
This ginormous crab freaked Becca out.
Nemo tank!
It had ALL of the fish from the fish tank in Finding Nemo
(plus Marlin and Dory)
except for the puffer fish.  Super cool!
DARLA!
Oh car rides.
Photobombeddddd
Danny had no idea what was going on.
Hannah was so concentrated on
covering the table with blue legos.
Epic Perry the Platypus jacket.
It even had a tail on the back.

With Ariel. :)
A shooting star!
Yay for fireworks!
It's a small, small world.
Hello, Mickey!
Me and Belle
King Arthur's Carousel
The maximum age for this ride is 12.
So Mikey decided to enjoy it while he still could.
Why are my brothers so crazy?!

Awwww!
Rapunzel!
Jacob is cool.
He eats string cheese while watching Bob the Builder in 4D.
Whaddup.
This was an interesting Perry-the-Platypus-with-mouse-ears hat.
Tower of Terror
Splash Mountain
Jacob loves his horsey.
Jacob was determined to pull the sword out.
Horrible quality... but
SPACE MOOSE!!!!!!

Doctor Who

So, I may or may not have recently fallen in love with Doctor Who.
Why is British TV just so much better than American TV?!
Because Sherlock, also.

I have watched the first 2005 season of Doctor Who, and am a few episodes into the second season.
But I am also watching the VERY first season of Doctor Who... from 1963.
It's hilariously old.

But definitely worth your time.
Check it out.

Welcome Home, Rachel!

Well! Rachel is home!

But she totally wants to be back in Russia.

BUT!!!!
She brought me a shopka!

And she's only really home for 4 days anyway.
Cuz then we're leaving on vacation.
And dropping her off at school on the way back.

I'm in shock, look I've got a blanket.

Sherlock is so great.
No joke.
WATCH IT.

It's a British Sherlock Holmes series.
And it is perfect.

I just wish there were more than six episodes.

If you have Netflix, you can watch the first season (three, one and a half hour episodes) instantly online.  And I highly suggest that you do.
