Another 1D Parody

They're salmon!

No. Way.

So... AMERICAN IDOL AUDITIONS ARE GOING TO IDAHO FALLS! EEEEEP!  I've always wanted to audition for a show like that because I think it would just be such a great experience, but I've never had the opportunity because they're always too far away.  BUT Idaho Falls is only like two and a half hours away... ergo, I want to audition!  Of course, it's not the ACTUAL auditions.  It's like a small town bus or something.  I don't really know.  Just go to the AI website to learn about what exactly it is.  But anyway, I so want to go audition.  Even if I don't make it, the experience is still so great!  But of course my mom said no.  Like seriously?  I'm going to try my hardest to convince her to let me audition.  Because it's like my dream.  And I mean, I don't expect to go all that far anyway.  I'm going to do everything in my power to get me to audition.  Wish me luck!

Definitely Not a Farm...

So, my mom decided that during the summer we would go on "fieldtrips" every once in a while.  And she had heard from a friend that there was a hummingbird farm 45 minutes out of town.  So that's where we went.

I was actually kind of excited for this!
A hummingbird farm... I hadn't ever even heard of one of those!
I was imagining a little place like a butterfly pavilion, but filled with hundreds of hummingbirds.

So we drove.

And drove.

And drove, and drove, and drove.

Until we were out in the middle of nowhere.

And it had been an hour and a half.  NOT 45 minutes.

But we knew we were going the right way.

There were landmarks.

Like, a cattle guard.

Or a lone tree.

Or an extremely large rock.

Because that's all that is out in the middle of nowhere.

And we arrive.

I thought that there was no way we were in the right place.

All that was there was...

A couple trees with hummingbird feeders by a little stream.

WOW.

We drove an hour and a half into the middle of nowhere for this?

So not worth it.

There were hummingbirds... like twenty.

And they were cool.

But it was definitely not worth three hours of my time out and back.

What a disappointment.

Happy Birthday One Direction!

Two years ago today.

At 8:22 PM.

One Direction was formed.

You may think... so what?  That doesn't affect your life that much.

But it really does.

I love them.

I love their music.

Fangirling over them has definitely changed my life.

Yeah, maybe for the worst.

But whatever.

I love them!

They inspire me. :)

My dreams are bigger.

And I feel like they are reachable too!

Happy birthday!

What better way to celebrate their birthday than to listen to their first song over and over and over again?
And sing it at the top of my lungs all over my house.

And when What Makes You Beautiful comes on the radio I have absolutely no choice but to turn it up all the way (which is loud in my car), roll down the windows, sing at the top of my lungs, and ignore the complaints of my eight year-old sister in the back seat.

I love my boys.

My creys. :'(
